Kigamboni Community Center (KCC)
KCC is located in the Kigamboni peninsula. It aims to help children and teenagers acquire simple skills that can be useful to them in the future. These skills include computer skills, crafting as well as learning english. KCC also has a shelter for street children and orphans who have nowhere to go, and if left alone might end up as burglars or street vendors. During the service day, delegates will be involved in activities that stimulate positive communication between the residents at the centre and the delegates in order to break down cultural and social barriers. These activities include acrobatics, theatre, visual arts, and crafts. Along with that, delegates will be given a chance to participate in on-site reconstruction activities such as painting walls.
